Adding widgets & buttons to a Wordpress website

Whilst we will always endeavour to supply you with simple snippets of code that are easy to embed, adding content to third party websites can often involve bespoke steps as mandated by the content management system in question.

In most case you should be able to simply paste the code snippet into the "Text" editor for any given page.

  • Sign back into your Wordpress blog.
  • Go to your blog dashboard.
  • Click on the page or post, where you'd like to add the widget
  • Paste in the code snippet into the "Text" editor
  • Preview or save and publish

If you want to embed the widget inside an iframe then in the case of Wordpress there are various plug-ins you can install in order to display the widget in an iframe. In the case of our widgets we recommend:

1. You install for your Wordpress site the Wordpress iframe plug-in:

  • Sign into your Wordpress blog.
  • Go to http://wordpress.org/plugins/iframe/ to install the iframe plug-in

2. Copy the widget code from JustGiving for the widget you want to embed

  • Next, sign back into your Wordpress blog.
  • Go to your blog dashboard.
  • Click on the page, where you'd like to add the widget
  • Paste in the code snippet into the "Text" editor in the following format

[iframe src="{snippet}"]

  • Preview or save and publish
