What is the JustGiving Charity Place Application Portal?

The JustGiving Charity Place Application Portal allows you to manage and fill your purchased charity places for fundraising events. Create a personalised application form and share with your supporters to fill your places.

Once users start applying for places you can manage the outcome of their application in the portal. Automated comms will let the applicant know the outcome.

How do I use the Charity Place Application Portal?

The JustGiving Charity Place Application Portal allows you to manage and fill charity places you have purchased for fundraising events.

Add your charity’s available places and create a personalised form for fundraisers to fill out as part of their application to participate and fundraise for your charity. You can personalise your application form to attract the right fundraisers by adding a banner and logo, including a minimum fundraising target, and by adding additional questions that will help you to select the best fundraisers for your charity.

Use a bespoke URL to share your open places with your community.

Use the portal to manage and read through your applications, when you accept or reject applicants automated comms will alert the user for you.

What are the benefits of using the Charity Place Application Portal?

The JustGiving Charity Place Application Portal provides an integrated solution to manage open places, review applicants and get fundraising pages auto created.
We’ve programmed communications meaning there’s less effort on the part of the charity to manage these notifications for applicants.
You’ll gain access to the JustGiving community and the support of the JustGiving marketing team as we help to fill your places through our digital marketing campaigns as well as all places being listed on our website for users to apply.

Can my charity use The JustGiving Charity Place Application Portal?

If you’re a JustGiving member, all you need to do is login to the portal using your existing JustGiving username and password.

How do I add places?

1. Login to the portal and select the event, for example: London Marathon 2022
2. Click Edit Package to add your number of purchased places under Allocation (number of places).

How can I customise my application form?

1. Login to the portal and select the event, for example: London Marathon 2022
2. Click Edit Package to add the number of places, add a page target and add more information about your charity. Here you can also add a header image for the
3. To add and manage questions click on Form Questions. Here you can add or delete as many questions as you like from the pre-selected questions. Select which questions should be mandatory and add a minimum or maximum length.

How do I share my application form?

Once your form is complete and personalised click the Share Invite button to get the bespoke URL to your form. You can share this URL with your supporters through email, social, or on your own website.

How do fundraisers apply for places?

Once you have your application form you can share the link by clicking Share Invite button. This will give you the unique URL to your form. You can share this with your supporters.
JustGiving will also promote all of the places on our website on the event page.
If the user chooses your charity they will apply using the form you have set-up.

How do I manage fundraising applications?

1. Log in to the JustGiving Charity Place Application Portal and in the fundraising bar you will see the number of fundraisers that have applied for places.
2. On the same page you will see a list of your applicants. You can look at each application by clicking on each name and reading through their application. Alternatively you can download an excel report to see all your applicants and read through their submission
3. You can approve or decline the fundraisers place on their form. Our automatic comms will inform the applicant on whether they have been successful or not.
4. For those who are accepted they will receive an email asking them to claim their place. Once the user claims their place you will be notified in the portal.
5. The bar at the top will keep track of the number of fundraisers applied, number rejected, number accepted, and number claimed.

What to do with your claimed places.

Once your fundraisers have claimed their place, we recommend you contact the approved applicant, thank them for signing up, and let them know what the next steps are.
You can click on the claimed section in the portal to view all claimed places. Or click on download the report to download the list of all applicants for their contact details.

How do I remove places?

We recommend you decline applicants if your places are oversubscribed.
